About the role
We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with a strong focus on test automation to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of web applications. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to define and implement effective testing strategies, with a focus on scalable and maintainable automation.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for web applications
- Implement end-to-end and integration tests using JavaScript-based frameworks (e.g., Playwright)
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Perform performance and load testing to validate scalability and reliability
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
- Analyze test results and provide actionable quality insights
- Maintain test data, environments and testing utilities
- Improve testing processes and tools continuously
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and release activities
What we're looking for
- ~8+ years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (preferably Playwright)
- Experience building end-to-end automated tests for web applications
- Experience with API testing (REST and/or GraphQL)
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of testing fundamentals (test design, defect management, strategies)
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows
- Strong debugging and trouble shooting skills
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks
- Good communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience testing React or modern front-end applications
- Familiarity with Node.js and testing ecosystems
- Experience with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter, Gatling, etc.)
- Experience with test reporting and dashboards
- Exposure to contract testing or service virtualization
- Knowledge of accessibility testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing or testing AI/LLM-driven features
